Finding your style can be a struggle. Not to mention what Instagram and Pinterest do to one’s mind after aimless scrolling. We all go through that period of looking in our closet feeling lost. It’s time to start yelling ” This is so me” again! Here are some tips for finding your style.
1 . Have Confidence in YOU
No one will do “you” better than you. Start thinking about the outfits that make you feel the most confident. Then, think about why you have that confidence. Whatever that is, maximize on it! Style other pieces around the ones that give you that” I feel and look good ” feeling. That may be a certain color, or style, maybe even a particular fit. If you feel and look confident, you’re winning! Be true to yourself. Experiment with different cuts, patterns, textures, and accessories. Trust your gut, because something that makes you feel yourself, confident and beautiful never goes out of style.
2 . Consider your lifestyle and goals
What are you doing on a daily basis? Your wardrobe should represent your creativity and also be tailored to your lifestyle. For example, If I spend most of my days on my feet, I probably wouldn’t spend most of my shopping time looking for 6inch heels. However, you might see me looking for ways to style flats. Your style has to reflect your personality, but it also has to make sense in your field of work, your overall lifestyle, the city you live in, etc.
