Happiness, it seems like such an easy word, an easy thought, but for some of us it’s one of the hardest words to crack. Most of us attach the word happiness to a thing of value, monetary gains. Just to end up realizing that none of it will essentially bring us happiness.
So what will bring us happiness?
I’m sharing 4 of my secrets. It doesn’t cost thing! These four tips have allowed me to wake up and smile and feel extremely happy and blessed.
Here they are, my 4 Secrets to Happiness:
Surround yourself with amazing People – Having a tribe around you that wants the best for you and that are constantly inspiring you and motivating you to be better is the most refreshing relationship that there is. Having good, supportive friendships, and loving relationships with your family members will make you much more likely to be happy.
Think Positively – I’m a big proponent of positive thinking as the best way to achieve your goals, but it turns out that it can lead to happiness too. Optimism and self-esteem are some of the best indicators of people who lead happy lives. Happy people feel empowered, in control of their lives, and have a positive outlook on life. I know, it sounds hella cliche’ but I’m telling you this simple task will get rid of so much stress and anxiety.
Let Go – Have you ever felt so uptight to the point where you tried to control every single aspect of your life. Well, you can’t, in fact you shouldn’t. I have so been there and it’s exhausting. I always wanted to know THE WHY- ” Why is this happening? How can I fix this? Now, I’m not saying to let everything go to hell, however try to relax and let go of what you thought should be happening and let life happen. Everything won’t always go your way but now that you will be thinking positively , try to let go of what you cant control.
Be Grateful- I say this a million times but its so true. Never compare your life to someone else’s highlight reel. Never focus on that, live your truth. Enjoy all that your life is and be grateful for what you have. Being grateful for what you do have in life is the key to being happy. You can be grateful for what you have while still working towards what you really want. Spend a little time every day thinking and writing about what you are grateful for. This may seem difficult at first, but consider all the things you have that others don’t, such as shelter, food, or clothing. It’s easy to take things for granted when you have constant access to them.
